Hydrogenation turns oil from a liquid into a solid or semi-solid substance and makes the oil more stable: this is achieved by bonding a hydrogen atom with the double bonds of fatty acid chains. Hydrogenated palm oil is solid at room temperature and white in appearance.
The oil is heated in a reactor, and mixed with Hydrogen and a nickel catalyst. After hydrogenation, the catalyst is filtered out and the oil is cooled in a heat exchanger, producing refined bleached deodorized and hydrogenated palm oil.
Product Highlights
The H250 is a variable area flowmeter which indicates precisely the volumetric flow of gases such as hydrogen. The beauty of the H250 is its purely mechanical design. The H250 can be adapted at any time, as plant requirements change, without interrupting the process, and offering analogue flow measurement without auxiliary power up to full digital integration as a transmitter in a fieldbus system.
The OPTIMASS 1400 coriolis mass flowmeter is the ideal instrument for use before and after the clarifier, because of the twin tube design and hydraulically optimized flow splitter, which gives a low pressure loss. It offers a best-in-class price/performance ratio, giving high accuracy mass, density and volume flow measurement (±0.15% of MV). It also monitors the product temperature, and can be fitted with a heating jacket, further insulation or purge ports.
