The OPTIBAR PM 3050 is a compact pressure transmitter with recessed diaphragm for general purpose pressure and level applications. It is designed for gauge or absolute pressure measurement of air, inert gases, steam and clean liquids in pipes, tanks or reservoirs. It can also be used for cost-effective hydrostatic level measurement of clean liquids in open tanks.
The pressure transmitter has an excellent measuring accuracy over a wide temperature and pressure range. It also features very short response times (<50 ms), outstanding repeatability and very good long term stability. Additional digital compensation reduces the temperature dependence on the pressure measurement. The electronics and the optional display and adjustment module are located in a rugged fully welded stainless steel housing. For a quick commissioning, the zero point and measuring range can be easily adjusted via internal push-buttons.
Robustness and sturdiness are as important as accurate and precise measurement results. The fully welded stainless steel construction provides utmost robustness and sturdiness which are as important as accurate and precise measurement.
The full digital linearization and temperature compensation provides an accurate measurement signal under changing temperature conditions.
Some applications require extended temperature decoupling or special wetted materials for corrosion, adhesion or abrasion protection. An OPTIBAR DS series diaphragm seal provides here an optimal solution, which is carefully sized and fully welded for long lasting performance.
Local indication of the measurement value as well as an easy and effortless configuration of the device are two significant benefits of an integrated display and adjustment module. The module can be placed on any device of the same series.
The sensor has been designed to withstand process temperatures up to +300°C / +572°F.
Though pressures over the nominal range of the transmitter do not cause immediate damages. A maximum working pressure limit too close to the nominal range might get easily exceeded causing permanent damage to the sensor. The higher the overload resistance the lower the chances of damage to the sensor due to pressure spikes.
